The tenants of our apostolate are:
FAITH. HUMILITY. PATIENCE, and above all LOVE.
- We deliver the Word of Our Lord to our young sisters and brothers and share the love of Christ with them. We want to help them both materially and spiritually.
- We seek to be like a family for those who are estranged from or do not have one of their own. For those who do have a family, our wish is to support them, both as individuals and as a unit.
- We desire to function as messengers of hope for a brighter future through faith, education, and employment; helping them to recognize and develop their own abilities and talents while emphasizing that such skills are of vital importance to our community.
- We wish to serve as a source of inspiration for churches and the Hispanic community.
- We want them to be concerned with the needs of our young sisters and brothers. Together we can discover ways to convey to them God’s love.
To achieve our objectives we have set the following goals:
-
To be united in prayer and action. We affirm that only the Holy Spirit can truly unite us and the work is done through Our Lord.
-
To be a loving community and family that supports, motivates, protects, and forgives one another.
-
To be a haven, a safe place, where young people feel valued, accepted, and loved.
-
To support each other in discovering and developing our unique talents and abilities so that we may use them for the good of others and in this way help our young brothers and sisters find and develop their own talents and abilities.
-
Work as an army: mobilizing ourselves against the lies and forces of evil that cause many members of our society to reject and marginalize our young sisters and brothers shadowing thereby their hopes.
Our identity as a “community” implies respect, confidentiality, sincerity (speaking the truth with love), and forgiveness so that we are united in love, friendship, and prayer.
